George Washington Johnson, Sr. Obituary

Mr. George Washington Johnson, Sr., 89, of Goldsboro, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UNC-Wayne, Goldsboro, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Wave of Glory Faith Ministries, 915 S. McDaniel Avenue, Goldsboro, NC. Pastor Daniel Uzzell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.

A public visitation will also be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the church prior to the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
